with May 1 set aside for a day of briefings and May 2 for legislative
appoinments. I will be the NY State Coordinator again this year and am
enclosing information from ALA on the day. Please share this information
with anyone who you think might want to participate.
If you have not already done so, now is the time to reserve your hotel
rooms for National Library Legislative Day 2007. The ALA has reserved a
block of rooms at a discounted rate at the Holiday Inn on the Hill
(reservation phone line: 800-638-1116 ). The special rate is now available
for the following evenings: Monday April
30th ;Wednesday May 2nd. However, the room block (at the discount rate) for
the evening of Tuesday, May 1st has been filled. Rooms are still
available at the Holiday Inn on the Hill on Tuesday, but the special
discount rate is not available.
ALA has contracted discount rates at the Hotel Rouge (1315 16th St. NW,
Washington DC 20036). The special rate is $199.00 plus tax per night.
Room reservations can be made by calling 1-800-368-5689. Be sure to request
the American Library Association rate when calling. For additional hotel
