MHHCS Families,
This Sunday 10/23 will be our Harvest Festival during period 3. Please join us 3:30-4:15. Some families have asked to switch to different clubs for period 3. Children are welcome to try a different club if they would like. Please encourage them to stay with one for a period of time so they can learn the routine or the skill. It also helps our teachers to get to know your child. The school has purchased a basketball, volleyball and a badminton set for our older students in grades 6-9. Hopefully, they are enjoying the interaction with their peers.
Please remember due to a high school event, MHHCS will not be meeting on 10/30. PTA president, Hongqing Zhang, has planned a Family Hike. Please join us at Rosendale Trestle Trail (720 Binnewater Rd. Rosendale, NY) at 1:30 We will send a sign up so we know how many families to expect. Remember to bring your own snacks and water.
When we return on 11/6, most classes will have Mid-Term Exams (CSL will have a speaking assessment). Please check in with your child and/or teachers about what they are expected to know. It would help your child(ren) if you can help them review what they have learned in class. It should not be a stressful or frustrating experience for them. Please encourage them to practice and do their best. It would also help teachers get to know where your child is at this point in the semester. Keeping up with the homework is a good habit as well as practice of what they are learning each week (CSL students should review the Google Slides and review the pages that have been taught).
