Dear colleagues,
Dear All,
Have you heard about the Gavi replenishment drive? This is a series of activities designed to get donor pledges to finance Gavi’s next work plan (2016-2020). As civil society, we have an important role to play in this campaign. We invite you to open the documents attached here – the fact sheet as well as the toolkit.

Specifically, do the following:

1. Endorse the call to action (Action number 1 in the advocacy tool kit)

2. Read the call to advocacy tool kit and let us as a Platform agree on (other) actions to be taken together as a Platform.

Please attend to this ASAP.

Kind regards,

Lloyd

Dear Loyd,
A advocacy action can be done in the capital of Malawi where the target donor agencies offices are located in Malawi. I propose a donor embassy action "Advocacy Match" to the British High Commission and US Embassy subject to resource availability.

Thanks!

Edward

Dear all Colleagues

Looking at the call on the GAVI replenishment conference and the toolkit. It is clear to me that funding is a huge challenge that hampers CSO engagement, there is a need for financing or subgrants to CSOs so that CSOs can be able to implement impactful interventions. At the moment it is difficult to achieve tangible results within Malawi's GAVI CSO platform because CSOs cannot in any way access direct and adequate funding to implement their own activities.

Additionally as a country, I think the CSO constituency show write a joint advocacy letter asking rich countries at the replenishment conference to increase funding to CSOs.

Regards
Dingaan
