Join us to check out one of the Chicago Fringe Festival performances! We're going to see "Queer Heartache," a slam poetry show by performance artist Kit Yan. We will meet at Moishe House at 6:00pm and Moishe House will cover the cost of taxis to and from the show, which is at the Congregational Church of Jefferson Park. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased in advance online. The first 6 people to RSVP before September 7th will also have half of their ticket cost covered by Moishe House. End your Rosh HaShanah with Moishe House Rogers Park; come celebrate, schmooze and dine with friends. Following our annual tradition, we'll bring in food from our favorite veggie Indian restaurant and serve dinner open house style so feel free to stop by whenever you family plans, services, or other activities end. Join us on the eve of Shabbat Shuvah for community lead Kabbalat Shabbat and a veggie potluck dinner. We're making a few of our favorite holiday entrees. Please bring your favorite Jewish foods---whether its you bubbie's borsht or those silly parve cookies they sell at the kosher bakery. Treat yourself to a slow moving shabbos afternoon at Moishe House Rogers Park. Nosh, nap, and nuzzle in our living room. A vegetarian meal will be provided, any contributions are welcome foodwise or otherwise (that's right folks, get creative).
Laughing Yoga Class

Sukkot is a time to be happy! Come get your giggle on with Moishe House doing some Laughing Yoga. Laughing Yoga (Hasyayoga) is based on the belief that voluntary laughter provides the same physiological and psychological benefits as spontaneous. We will be practicing this type of Yoga in a teacher led group class and then enjoying a vegetarian meal together. With big smiles and full bellies we will ring in Sukkot like real Yogis!
