Happy Sunday! Get ready for a busy week at Moishe House. Come to a wine tasting on Monday or a Passover food demonstration on Wednesday. If you like dogs and/or Shabbat, then Saturday's pug lunch is a perfect afternoon treat.

How to Prepare for Passover in 18 Minutes or Less

Join Moishe House and farmer extraordinaire Jill Zenoff for an interactive cooking demonstration to get excited about Passover. Learn how to cook delicious and sustainable recipes that can be made in the 18 minutes between the end of Shabbat and the second night of Passover. We will be making two different salads, potato kugel, and profiteroles with chocolate. At the end of the night, you’ll leave with a recipe booklet with dinners and desserts that are fun and easy to make.

It's no joke, Larry Gast (MH Midwest Director of Institutional Development) will be bringing not one, but two adorable pugs to Shabbat Lunch. There will also be all the traditional nosh so come make kiddish, east some cholent, pet a pug, (and maybe say hello to Larry so he doesn't feel left out).

K for P Food Buyers Cooperative to bring local, organic, and fair trade items to Chicago area Passover tables. Likely to be seen in your box: Storage potatoes, onions, garlic, 1/2 doz eggs per box with opportunity to buy more, mushrooms, winter greens for salad, micro-greens for the Seder plate (pepper-cress), organic Fair trade Kosher for Passover Chocolate, and possibly carrots, beets, and apples. 


$30 buy-in to get things rolling!  RSVP YES to this Facebook Event if you are interested and more details will be sent to you directly as we determine how payment will work, quantities and availability of produce. The more people the better prices we can get!


Vogue Workshop

You don't have be a Madonna fan to Vogue like a rock star! Join Gesher and professional party dancer, Jonathan Kadet to learn the fun and playful dance style of vogue fem. Vogue Fem is a fluid dance made up of exaggerated feminine movements either dramatic (which emphasizes stunts, tricks, and speed) or soft (which emphasizes a graceful easy flow). There are five elements: hand performance, catwalk, duckwalk, floor performance, and dips. More than the steps, it's all about the attitude you bring to the floor! Open to all voguers - beginner and advanced. Participate as little or as much as you feel comfortable. Recommended: water or beverage, comfortable clothes and snacks as you would for an average fitness class. For more info and to RSVP: Checkout the Gesher Page
