Moral Mondays with ONE Northside
Monday August 10, 4:00 - 6:30PM
Wilson and Broadway, Uptown
We are over a month into the fiscal year and Illinois still does not have a state budget and many state services are already suffering from budget cuts. As a member organization of ONE Northside, we are joining in taking the Moral Mondays movement into the neighborhoods where the impacts of the Illinois budget impasse and cuts are being felt most severely. We must highlight the effects the budget impasse is having on human lives. We must raise our voices to say that the political gaming is immoral. Legislators and the Governor must raise revenue by taxing big corporations and the 1%. This action will include a short march, as well as a bus ride for a direct action. Buses will bring you back to Uptown.  Please RSVP here.
