Hello Chicago,

Are you ready for an awesome week with Moishe House? Join us Friday for a Shabbat dinner, Sunday for a movie, or Monday for a rescheduled program with wine and samosas.

All the Best,

Tova, Amir, Claire, and Eleanor

Shabbat

Friday, April 17, 6:30 PM

Moishe House Rogers Park (RSVP for address)

Come wind down and enter Shabbat with us on a lovely winter evening. Join us for services at 6:30 and for dinner around 7:30.  Please bring a vegetarian dish and/or a drink to share. If you are interested in leading Kabbalat Shabbat and/or Maariv or giving a dvar, please email Amir (amirst...@gmail.com).

Two Days, One Night

Sunday, April 19, starts at 3:15 PM, meet at 3 PM

Gene Siskel Film Center: 164 N State St, Chicago

In Two Days, One Night, Marion Cotillard (from La Vie en Rose and Inception) plays a young wife and mother who has a nervous breakdown and is required to take time off from her job at a factory. While she’s away, her co-workers discover that they can do her work collectively and all receive bonuses. When she realizes that her job no longer exists, she spends the weekend trying to convince them that she deserves to stay at the factory. Come see this limited-release film (French, with subtitles) with us and join us afterwords for tea and discussion. RSVP to Eleanor for a subsidized ticket.

RESCHEDULED: Kiddush on a Monday

Monday, April 20, 6:30 PM

Taste Food and Wine: 1506 W. Jarvis, Chicago

Want to spend 4/20 doing something legal? Join Moishe House Rogers Park at a wine tasting with bottles of wine, cheese samples, and chocolate. If it is warm out, we'll engage in the Taste tradition of buying samosas and eating them on the beach.
