A continuation of the Shimmering Light series. The month of Rabi-ul-Awwal bring joy and happiness in the hearts of the believer. The name Rabī‘ al-awwal means the first [month] or beginning of spring, referring to its position in the Islamic calendar. Hence this is considered to be a very blessed month.
We will recite some poetry and go thru the shimmering light as it has many great proms about the characteristics and life of our beloved prophet.

Dr Omar Mahmood,Omar Mahmood was born and raised in Southern California. He completed his undergraduate studies in Psychobiology and Arabic. He then traveled overseas to study traditional Islamic Sciences at Dar al-Mustafa, in the Yemeni valley of Hadramawt. His studies focused on jurisprudence, Arabic grammar, and sciences of the heart. He returned to the States and completed a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. He is currently a research scientist and serves as a national advisor for MYNA (Muslim Youth of North America). He is active in efforts to promote the development of Islamic identity in Muslim youth through spirituality, counseling, recreation, and the arts.
Sister Hosai Mojaddidi, is the co-founder of MH4M. She has been actively involved with the Muslim community in the San Francisco Bay Area and the southern California community for nearly 15 years. Working for several non-profit organizations in various capacities as well as a Qur’an teacher and lecturer over the years. She has also been able to gauge the mental health issues of the larger community firsthand by serving as a private mediator, advisor and mentor to many.
