Greetings from Amrita University!
I am happy to inform your good self that Amrita University is hosting the annual ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ACM - ICPC) Asia Pacific regional contest for the eighth year in a row. IBM is the worldwide sponsor of this contest and Infosys Campus Connect, the regional sponsor of our contest, which will be held simultaneously at Amritapuri (Kerala), Ettimadai (Tamil Nadu) & Bengaluru (Karnataka) campuses of Amrita University.
ACM ICPC is the world's largest programming contest. The top brains from all across the Asian continent will compete in this programming Olympics, which is dubbed as the 'Battle of Brains'. ACM ICPC is a team-based contest. A team can have 3 members along with the provision to have an extra member as a reserve. As per the rules, only a coach can register a team. A coach should be a faculty member of the institution where the contestants study. One coach can however register any number of teams.
There are two rounds for our regional contest - Online (Preliminary) round and Onsite round. Online contest is run over Internet and the participation is FREE. Registration for Online Contest is FREE of charge, especially to encourage the young programmers. The-two day Onsite contest involves lot of excitement and fun including one day excursion. Amrita University is also providing special offers for those contestants, who hail from institutions, which are part of Infosys Campus Connect.

In this regard, I request you to promote this prestigious programming competition among the students in your esteemed institution. We will also be sending posters, flyers and promotional material for displaying in your campus.
