Subject: GREEK WEEKEND ANNOUNCEMENT! (Office of Greek Life & Greek Programming Committee)

Good Evening Binghamton Fraternities and Sororities!

As we hope you've all heard by now, the inaugural Binghamton University GREEK WEEKEND is scheduled for Thursday, April 18 - Sunday, April 21.  A skeleton schedule is provided below and further details will follow this week regarding event specifics and participation rules.

The theme of this year's Greek Weekend is: 

"Individually Unique, Together Complete!"

Friendly competition will take place among six teams that have each been given a Greek Life Values theme.  Attached is an excel file containing the breakdown of teams by organization and includes the name and/or contact information of each organization's President.

To get the ball rolling, we encourage you to share this information with the rest of your chapters and begin coordinating communication efforts among your teams.  

The first team event will be a POSTER competition!  

Posters should represent the team's assigned value along with the unique makeup of its organizational members.  Official rules and details will be provided later this week and materials will be available for pick up in the Office of Greek Life this Friday.

Start coordinating and get excited!

Thursday: WEAR YOUR LETTERS!

10am - Posters due to Office of Greek Life

11-3pm - Greek Weekend Banner signing (for team participation) on the spine

830pm - Phired Up Social Excellence presentation (Mountainview Dining Hall) [MANDATORY partial attendance - details to follow]

Friday: 

11-3 - Canned Food Drive / Activities along the spine

330-530 - Team lawn games (Mountainview Co-Rec fields)

Saturday: WEAR YOUR LETTERS (Preferably in BU Green)

12-2pm - Bearcat Pride at the Binghamton University Men's Baseball Game (activities TBA)

Sunday:

2-4pm - Formal Greek Awards dessert reception (invite only) - C4 Multipurpose Room
