Team,

The MGCC has some phenomenal news to share.

Today, Councillor Karen Stintz, seconded by Councillor Josh Colle, put a motion forward to city council to be voted upon on February 20th to repeal Toronto By-Law 950-201 (A) which mandates cyclists riding single file within the GTA.

While this is just one step of many and much more work needs to be done this is indeed a giant step forward.

CTV news is airing a special report on this motion tonight around 645PM as part of their nightly news broadcast.  The Star, National Post, and Globe & Mail have all picked up on the story as well so look for some written words in tomorrow's newspapers.

A special MGCC THANK YOU goes out to Ian Henderson & Sasha Gollish for leading the MGCC Cycling Advocacy Committee on this initiative as well as to Jared Kolb of Cycle Toronto who has been instrumental in moving this forward.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

Stay tuned for more details as the club receives them.

Cheers,
MGCC
