The MGCC Ladies are going to have an AWESOME time in LP!!!!!!!!
BOONE, NORTH CAROLINA
Riding dates are May 1 to May 5 inclusive.
You must be a registered 2013 MGCC member to attend Boone.
Arrive in Boone the morning of May 1st and experience some of the best riding North America has to offer. 5 days of riding in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Expect 100 + KMS of hilly, mountainous riding every day. All abilities are welcome. Daily suffering is guaranteed.
Accommodations have been secured - http://www.crestwoodnc.com/ - we have booked out the entire Inn giving us 60 beds. If demand is warranted, there are options for alternative accomodations nearby for riders who sit on their hands and whose deposits come in north of # 60.
Guides and fully supported SAG wagons have been secured.
Transportation to Boone and back:
It is a 1100 kms (10 hrs) drive to Boone from Toronto – easily
accomplished – the plan for all those who want to drive down is to car
pool leaving Toronto in the afternoon of Tuesday, April 30th and drive
(rotating shifts) straight through the night down to Boone to be on
our bikes Wed, May 1st around 9am. Return to Toronto would be around
midnight (+ or -) on Sunday, May 5th.
Fly Down – you would fly to Charlotte on April 30th late in the PM or May
1st in the early AM, rent a car, and drive the 2 hrs north to Boone –
either way you would aim to be at the Crestwood Inn in the early morning of May 1st.
The MGCC will be renting a truck & trailer to drive and trailer all of
our bikes and luggage down to Boone - no bike racks necessary. If you
fly and would like your bike and luggage driven down in the trailer,
the cost is $160 per rider.
OTHER COSTS:
Accomodations (1 per bed), Guides, SAG wagons, and all the on bike
nutrition (gels, bars, fruit, gatorade, water, etc. etc is all
provided by the guides and SAG wagon) comes in at approximately $900
for the full 5 days 4 nights.
Breakfast is included with your room rate at Crestwood. Other nutritional needs can be met by Crestwood or by a group trip to the local grocery store.
Dinners – 4 nights of nutrition – food, beer, and entertainment is
very inexpensive in Boone – budget $40 a night for dinner (beer/wine included). We will be staying at Crestwood for 2 of the 4 dinners and venturing into Boone for some local adventures for the other 2 dinners.

Will you drive or fly down to Boone?
If you want to drive, do you have access to a car/truck and how many
riders can you comfortably fit?
Both the Lake Placid & Boone trips are going to be most excellent adventures.
To help with any questions or comments, the MGCC will be hosting an information night on both of these trips.
Join us at the Fox and The Fiddle (located at 1535 Yonge St. just North of St. Clair) on Thursday February 7th on the 2nd Floor. The socializing will start anytime after 8:00, with the official info session kicking off at 8:30.
Please join us to learn more, as always friends, family and potential recruits are more then welcome to join.
Even if you aren’t planning to join the event, why not still come out? We’d love to see you and who knows you might be convinced otherwise!
Hope to see you there.
Cheers,
