A BIG THURSDAY FOR THE MGCC

A friendly reminder of 3 items on the MG schedule for this Thursday:

 

 

1. WattsUp Winter Race Series Starts Thursday, Jan 10th, 530am

• 12 stages (one per week), each stage 23 to 28 km long
• Mondays 7:30 pm and Thursdays 5:30 am
• results are kept and tallied both within WattsUp and across approximately 15 similar facilities throughout North America
• overall male and female winners at WattsUp will receive free entry into next year's winter race series! (a minimum of five races to be completed to be eligible)
• bring/refer a friend to a race and you race for free!
• $25 + HST per stage, or
• $200 + HST for the entire series (12 races)
• Stage One is Thu, Jan 10th, 5:30 am and Mon, Jan 14th, 7:30 pm
• Stage One is free!

2.  The Real Deal Thursday Night Time Trial @ Gears - 7pm start

• Race of Truth - Distances and Courses vary.  Please reserve a bike in advance. Attendance must be confirmed -  mike@gearsbikeshop.com - all riders to report afterwards to the Fox and The Fiddle to enjoy the spoils of their efforts.

 

3.  The First MGCC Pub Night of 2013 - 730pm start

• To start the year off right we are bringing back the monthly MGCC Pub Nights!  With all the winter riding and training going on, we want to make sure that there are opportunities for MGCC members to connect, socialize and network without their spandex on.  Please join us at Fox and The Fiddle (located at 1535 Yonge St. just North of St. Clair) on Thursday January 10th, anytime after 7:30 (we have space blocked off on the 2nd Floor).  The Fox and Fiddle has a few great specials on Thursdays including $11 Pitchers and $8.99 Burgers, and will also be providing some platters for the team to munch on.As always friends, family and potential recruits are more then welcome to join.
