Team,
Your cycling club is hosting a movie night on Thursday, Feb 21st at the Amsterdam Brewery - 45 Esander Dr. just east of Laird.
Sky Atlantic's production of BRADLEY WIGGINS: A YEAR IN YELLOW will be screening. The documentary is an in depth look at the life of Bradley Wiggins as he chases down the Yellow Jersey at the Tour. Unlimited access to Bradley, his family, his coaches, his teammates, and his friends was granted for this documentary.
The evening will be MC'd by Michael Barry, a former Team Sky rider and teammate of Bradley. Michael will introduce the film as well as host a Q & A afterwards.
There will be a cash bar as well as some nibbles to feast on (think carrot sticks, cauliflower, brocolli.......after all, the outdoor road season is right around the corner :) :) :)).
The evening will be in support of the Milton Pan Am & Para Pan Am Velodrome. This project is currently 90% funded, within reach of the targeted budget, but still a large step away. The GTA Cycling Community is rallying behind this Velodrome ensuring that we have a world class facility built right in our own backyard.
Ticket prices to this evening have been kept at cost. When purchasing tickets at
www.mgridetoronto.com under the MOVIE NIGHT tab you will be asked if you would like to make a tax deductible donation to the Velodrome project. Any and all dollars will be allocated 100% to the project allowing the MGCC to continue to lead as the largest and most active cycling club in the GTA.
There will be a silent auction of items sent to us directly from Team Sky as well as from of our local partners. More details on this to come out shortly.
All details are attached.
Cheers,
MGCC
