Fellow Nigerian,

The International Committee on Nigeria (ICON) has been feeling our pain for a long while now. These are a group of Americans who are poised on effecting change in Nigeria. They devote their resources, energy and time canvassing for a concerted effort at tackling the Nigeria problem. Just this May they invited us to a meeting in Washington DC and gave us access to talk with Congressmen about the Fulani Herdsman problems and killings of Christians in Nigeria. A few days ago they were in Raleigh and all they requested of us to gather enough signatures to help them lobby lawmakers to send a special envoy on a fact-finding mission to Nigeria so that Washington can be persuaded that the plight of Christians and innocent villagers is dire.

Hopefully, we can do this least of the sacrifices required to bring attention to the atrocities at home. Hopefully, we will not allow these strangers to do all the work. Good citizenship requires involvement and canvassing in a civic democratic effort to effect the change you want in your community. The life you save may be yours. Please share and encourage your friends and community to sign this petition. Bad things, they say, happen when good people turn a blind eye. Nigeria's problem seems intractable but there is nothing a determined group of people cannot do or change if we set our hearts and minds to it, and follow up with a concerted action. Let us begin to fight for our own lives and try to save ourselves and the Country we all love, Nigeria. Please join ICON to help salvage the situation in Nigeria.

The United States Congress or Presidency attention on the Nigeria situation will turn things around quickly. The job of getting this government to treat Nigeria as a priority in spite of all the boiling parts of the international region and competing national issues is ours, Nigerians. If these crises continue, Nigeria will degenerate into another civil and or religious war, there will be mass killings and the mass exodus of Nigerian citizens and refugees and the majority of those migrations will be to the United States. So, for the sake of saving our lives and those of our relatives; for the sake of avoiding another mass refugee and migrant asylees to America, please sign this petition today to convince the United States Congress not to ignore the fast brewing civil war and annihilation of Christians from the face of our earth.
