My Friend the Chocolate Cake have played some great sets at the Queenscliff Music Festival, Woodford Folk Festival and the Cygnet Folk Festival in the past few months before taking January off to put their feet up and maybe write some more songs and think what further kitchen merchandise they can offer at gigs...there have been strong suggestions of aprons.....

Cake will be taking a three month break after April but wanted to fit in a few more gigs before their holiday. Still hailed after 21 years as original quirky, beautiful, exquisite.......the praise just keeps on coming ........ and coming.....

The band that has barely stopped moving since the launch of their album Fiasco in 2011 and are back with a fresh string of festival and club dates throughout March 2012. Like typical 21 year old won’t-stop-party-animals, Cake take their unique blend of pop noir to The Famous Speigeltent in Melbourne (Fri 2 & Sat 3 March); The Idolize Speigeltent in Adelaide (Tue 6 & Wed 7 March); The Port Fairy Folk Music Festival (March 9 & 10); The Blue Mountains Folk Festival (March 16 & 17); The Brunswick Music Festival (March 21); The Basement in Sydney (March 23) and The Street Theatre in Canberra (March 24).
