I am currently work with a non-profit called SWITCH, based in Kingston
but serving the communities from Cornwall to Trenton and northward as
far as Bancroft and Kemptville. Our mission is to promote sustainable
energy, and we have a limited-time grant to provide technical support
and public education that is aimed particularly at small and medium-
sized businesses. This education and support will principally be
focused on the FIT and microFIT programs, and can include events held
within our territory.

One of our main goals is to create an information resource, which we
have formatted as a "wiki" (like Wikipedia), where we hope to provide
answers to every relevant question a potential consumer or provider
could ask. We hope to be able to remove the barriers to taking
advantage of this excellent program. We will do that by answering such
questions as "Will my municipal taxes go up?", "Do I pay taxes on what
I earn from the OPA?", "Is this transferable if I sell my property?",
and "Do I have to insure this? What does that cost?".

Please feel free to consult our site (www.switchkingston.ca) and our
wiki (www.switchkingston.ca/wiki) and to provide suggestions (and even
to contribute or to edit entries!).
