Festival 2010: Opening Night

The 2010 Marblehead Festival of Arts will open with an Awards Ceremony
outside Abbot Hall at 6:30 PM on Thursday, July 1. Artists will be
honored for their outstanding works in Crafts, Drawing, Mixed Media,
Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Senior Art, Sculpture, Student
Art, and Writing. In addition, the Art Scholarship recipients will be
announced: the Student Art Scholarship, awarded to a graduating high
school senior pursuing higher education in art; and a Milton Bloom
Student Art Scholarship, awarded to a student in grades 7 through 11.

Following the award presentations, Art Exhibits will be open, from
7:45 PM to 9:00 PM, at Abbot Hall (Crafts, Drawing, Painting, and
Printmaking), St. Michael’s Church (Mixed Media and Sculpture), Old
Town House (Photography), Unitarian Universalist Church (Logo Art,
Senior Art, and Writers’ World), and Old North Church (Student Art and
Youth Art). In Abbot Hall, a trio from Symphony by the Sea will
provide music while art enthusiasts browse among the many fine works
on exhibit.
