Volunteer Information Party
The Marblehead Festival of Arts is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization. Its annual Volunteer Information Party will be held Sunday, April 25, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at the Corinthian Yacht Club, 1 Nahant Street, on Marblehead Neck. Committee chairpersons and veteran volunteers will be on hand to provide information on the many volunteer opportunities that exist in preparation for the summer Festival, during the summer Festival, and throughout the year. Thursday, April 29
Festival Night at The Landing
The MFoA will hold an Art Auction preview at The Landing Restaurant on Thursday, April 29, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM. During those hours, The Landing will donate 20% of the amount spent on food and beverages to the Festival. So enjoy fine food while meeting other Festival supporters and previewing the Art Auction. Friday, April 30 – Sunday, May 2
Art Walk
Sponsored by the Marblehead Chamber of Commerce and the Marblehead Arts Association, this weekend long event will features 100 participating artists, stores, restaurants, galleries, and health professionals throughout town. Saturday, May 1
MfoA Art Auction
The Annual Art Auction will be held Saturday evening, May 1, beginning with a Silent Auction at 5:00 PM and followed by a Live Auction starting at 7:15 PM. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres prepared by Dario Puerto of Dario’s Catering; and desserts provided by Edible Arrangements, Starlight Creatives, and Harbor Sweets. Brian Rolland will provide classical guitar music, while three artists will give live demonstrations of their artistry: Martha Quigley, nautical painting; Patricia De Carlo Baker, Nantucket basket weaving; and Pam Haley, jewelry.
Proceeds from the Art Auction support the summer Festival. Invitations are available for a $20 donation at the door, or an advance donation of $15 at Arnould Gallery & Framery (111 Washington Street), Manhattan Sandwich Shop (1 Bessom Street, Village Plaza), and Irresistibles (50 Atlantic Avenue).

Artisans’ Marketplace Entry Deadline
The 2010 Artisans’ Marketplace will be held outside Abbot Hall, during the Festival, on Sunday and Monday, July 4 and 5. Applications from interested artisans are being accepted through May 14. Art Exhibit Entries
Applications to enter art in this year’s summer Festival are now available online. Categories include crafts, drawing, mixed media, painting, photography, sculpture, and senior art.
