Position Title: Azure Databricks Infrastructure Admin

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Azure Databricks Admin with a strong background in infrastructure management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and maintenance of Azure Databricks environments. This role requires extensive knowledge of Azure cloud services, Databricks architecture, and infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Databricks Administration:
• Manage and administer Azure Databricks environments, including clusters, workspaces, and notebooks.
• Monitor Databricks performance and optimize the usage of resources.
• Implement and manage security best practices, including user access control, data encryption, and compliance.
• Develop and maintain scripts for automation of Databricks tasks and workflows.
• Infrastructure Management:
• Design, deploy, and manage infrastructure on Azure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
• Implement and manage Azure networking components, including VNets, subnets, and NSGs.
• Manage Azure storage solutions, including Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Blob Storage, and SQL Databases.
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery setups for critical Databricks and Azure infrastructure.
• Collaboration and Support:
• Work closely with data engineering, data science, and analytics teams to understand their requirements and provide infrastructure solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Databricks environments and underlying infrastructure.
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members on Databricks and Azure infrastructure best practices.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Databricks, Azure, and cloud infrastructure.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance system performance and reliability.
• Conduct regular system audits and optimize resource utilization.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure management, with a focus on Azure.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Azure Databricks administration.
• Proven experience in managing large-scale, distributed systems in a cloud environment.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong proficiency in Azure cloud services, including compute, storage, and networking.
• In-depth knowledge of Databricks architecture, cluster management, and performance tuning.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.
• Proficient in scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Databricks Certification (e.g., Databricks Certified Associate Developer)
