FYI-
See original message below from RenewIndy (www.renewindy.org), the City land bank entity.
316 E 33rd Street is a tiny lot (~50’ x 50’, see first map image below) that at one time had a house facing 33rd Street, not unlike 611 E 34th Street (see second photo/map image below) and many other examples in the immediate area.
I'm opposing this request because the proposed structure (see attached) is nothing more than a boxy garage with an apartment above. It's possible and more appropriate (in terms of neighborhood context and architectural design) to construct a small 2-storey home at that location. Please let me know your thoughts or contact RenewIndy directly.
Thanks,
Tyson

Subject: Neighborhood Notification - 316 E 33RD ST - 1073241
Hello,
Renew Indianapolis has received the following applications for a property
within the bounds of your organization. We are asking for your feedback
as we consider this application.
Applicant: Branden Neese
Property: 316 E 33RD ST
Parcel: 1073241
Branden Neese intends to build a new home for themselves.
They intend to invest $80,700.00 in the home. A copy of the scope of work is attached to this email.
If you have any questions for the applicant you can contact them
directly at brande...@gmail.com or reply to this email and
I will ask for you.
As you may know, Renew Indianapolis sells city-owned “landbank”
properties through an application process. As part of that process,
we solicit feedback from the neighborhood organizations that work
in the area where each property is located. If you have any feedback
for our Review Committee or Board of Directors as they consider these
applications please do let us know. Feedback from neighborhood groups
is very important in the decision-making process.
These applications will be considered at the Review Committee meeting
on July 26, 2018.
If they recommend approval the applications will be considered at the
next Board of Directors meeting and finally if they approve at the
following Metropolitan Development Commission meeting, where the final
decision will be made.
Your feedback is welcome at any stage and can be emailed to me to
be passed along.
