Option to turn off allophonic detail in MFA?

Hi all, 

I've previously used an earlier version of MFA with the ARPABET US English dictionary, but am now looking to use it on British English and seen that the British English dictionary uses the MFA phone set, which includes rather more allophonic detail and potential phone variants, and the output is more detailed than the phonemic-level transcription that we're looking for.

As I understand it from reading through the documentation, this allophonic detail is fairly rule-based (e.g. velar stops -> palatal variants before front vowels), so I thought it would be possible to switch between this and a more phonemic transcriptions, but I can't seem to figure out how to do this - Has anyone got any suggestions?
