Automatically sending queued mail

Sometimes when I try to send mail, the mail is placed in +queue because of
network connectivity problems.

Is there a way to automatically send that mail when my network connection
comes back? Or at least to notify me that +queue is non-empty? I don't
want a message to languish in +queue for a long period of time before I
notice it there.
