Rebecca Solnit's "Mad, Passionate Love -- and Violence: Occupy Heads into the Spring" beautifully contrasts the violence in the world that gave birth to Occupy and that which emerged both in response to and within the movement. Phil Rokstroh's "Cash Of The Titans: Against The Noxious Fantasy Of Limitless Growth" is a poetic howl against the cliches of civility and incrementalism at a time "when feedback loops of methane gas are melting arctic ice at an exponential rate,... the powers that be continue their pursuit of ruthless agendas that perpetuate this death-worshiping trajectory [and] it is evident that politics as usual has failed."
