I love bonfires!!! But i wonder why Terminus hasn't been mentioned as of recent yet... temporal mastery is great... if you know what you plan for your turn, but it really puts a lot of randomness there so maybe the slots could be put to better use elsewhere. Devastation Tide is something m sure will see play, reasonable non miracle casting cost...

My general opinion is that unless you can look at a miracle and say "Yes, I will be happy paying the full mana cost for this" you will not play it. And most of those you will often find better uses for that manacurve slot.

As for red/green aggro, the idea there is to win very fast with highly aggressive tactics. This generally means low toughness creatures, in which case Whipflare style cards may not work, but if you're an aggro deck that is being blocked sufficiently we can assume you're facing down plenty of 3> toughness. That means for the non-miracle cost you need 7 manas. Not impossible, no, but not exactly ideal. And yes you can pay 3 and wipe out tokens, but if we're honest here tokens means spirits and you might as well play Corrosive Gale.

rckclimber777, Entreat the Angels is an interesting card, in that the more you pay the more efficient it gets. It's 5 mana for a 4/4 flier, then it's 7 mana for two 4/4 fliers. Most white decks don't tend to get near those costs though, and anything higher is right out. If you're going to play this card and treat it as a 5 CMC 4/4 angel, you have frankly better choices. Yes, for the miracle cost it's a lot more game ending than most of the miracles, but it assumes you'll want to cast it immediately. Yes, it's hard to imagine any situations where you wouldn't want to spam 4/4 flying angels, but they do exist. Maybe you're planning to board wipe this turn? Maybe you don't have more than 2 mana? Maybe your opponant has fliers locked down somehow, or you need your mana for any number of other reasons. And drawing it in the opening hand makes it a dead card. And let's not forget. No matter how many angels you might make, all it takes is a Corrosive Gale at 5 (or 4) mana to wipe it all away. And with spirits and delver, that card is already a must-have for most sideboards. As is Ratchet Bomb.

Ponder offers a limited ability to fix the top of your deck. Amass the Components does not, in fact it increases the odds of you not drawing the miracle on the first draw of a turn. This to me is why all blue miracles are terrible; blue decks always draw more cards than other colours, meaning blue decks will always be less likely to activate a miracle.

Hi all know you all know your stuff on here so thought I would ask. I have had pi ibs since last October I randomly came across Imodium with simeticone in it and started taking one every morning it's like a miracle cure I feel better than I have felt since the start with this.

Immodium is a miracle cure for me too. Please don't worry about taking it. My doctor told me it does not long term harm on the body even if you take it all the time. One tablet a day settles my stomach and makes my system normal again.

I replied to your post before wondering why you are taking Imodium every day because the bottle I have reads that it should be used not longer than 48 hours. Then I saw that what I have does not contain Simethicone and I'm wondering if that makes a difference in how it should be taken? I keep forgetting that most of the folks in this forum are in or around the UK -- I'm in the US. After a recent colonoscopy/endoscopy, I was diagnosed with IBS-A AGAIN (about the 4th time in my adult life). I have stress-induced IBS. Anyway, when I looked up Simethicone aka Gas-X it also releaves extra gas such as belching, bloating, and feelings of pressure/discomfort in the stomach/gut. I'd like to know if the "how to take" instructions on the product you are using that would limit the intake?

There is a freshwater version of Miracle Mud. It's pricey as heck, but it's out there. It's about $25 for 2 pounds. Miracle Mud is one of those products that has some "true believers" who swear it's a miracle product, and then there are the others who say it's just dirt and you can get similar results (maybe even better) by using bagged topsoil (around $3 for a 25 lb bag) in a freshwater refugium. The Miracle Mud marketing claims sound a bit "snake oil" like to me. They claim it reverses hole in the head disease, enhances fish colors, and is the most comprehensive filter medium on the market. Eh, okay. It's 80% ocean mud and 20% something else they add. I don't necessarily buy their marketing. If I was doing a freshwater refugium, I'd be more incluined to go with top soil. Oh, and they want you to replace 50% of the Miracle Mud on a yearly basis also. In a 40-65 gallon tank they recommend ten pounds ($125 worth) and then replace half (5 pounds) every year.

One definition of miracles is that they are extraordinary events that go beyond natural or scientific laws. They are supernatural. In the ancient world, there was consensus about the natural and supernatural: the boundary between the two was fluid. People believed that unseen beings inhabited and animated the landscape, and that extraordinary individuals were capable of superhuman exploits. In those times, miraculous stories inspired faith and respect. They did not contradict deeply held beliefs about what was possible in the natural world. The ancients felt no need to question whether Brahma actually interceded with the Buddha to encourage him to turn the wheel of dharma. Stories that Nagarjuna lived for six hundred years and visited the realm of the nagas to retrieve the Prajnaparamita Sutras merely confirmed that his teachings were marvelous and true.

Ari Goldfield: The focus of Buddhism on the true nature of reality and the stories about miracles are not contradictory but rather mutually reinforcing. The wonderful thing about Buddhism is that it gives us a chance to understand stories about miracles, not just from the perspective of faith but also from the perspective of reason. My own teacher, Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso Rinpoche, puts it very simply: If you have the miraculous view, you can have faith in miracles.

For our own time and place, we can indeed have a sense of the miraculous, leaving aside supernatural experience and dramatic miracles like walking on water or healing the sick. Quite simply, if you look at reality closely and directly from the meditative perspective, ordinary reality becomes more and more strange and miraculous.

Buddhadharma: When you say that miracles were a part of what people perceived all of the time in older cultures, did you mean that more of what we would call miraculous events were actually occurring, or that their worldview encompassed a more miraculous perception of ordinary events?
