Tech – metallurgist from any reputed engineering or metallurgical institute. CORE EXPERTISE / JOB PROFILE / RESPONSIBILITES Work experience in any reputed, Cast iron, Ductile Iron, and steel melting, rolling and forging areas in a position of Sr. engineer. Shall conversant with material properties of cast iron, ductile iron, and steels manufacturing areas. Shall conversant with metallurgical properties of cast iron, ductile iron, and various of steel. Shall have good knowledge on the effects of various elements on cast iron, ductile iron and steel properties. Shall review and suggest alternate elements to the desired mechanical and metallurgical properties. Shall review, co-ordinate and obtain customer approvals for various alternate solutions considering product functional requirements. Shall be closely involved with supplier development activities for steel and iron-related products in developing the same to be in line with customer requirements and executing PPAP activities. Shall closely work with development, quality, sourcing, and production teams in developing new products related to metallurgical aspects. Shall have experience in selecting and testing steels from various organizations and testing laboratories. Working in Shaft-related steel making process are given additional priority. Shall review all child parts metallurgical requirements, and work closely with sourcing, quality, and development teams in implementing product quality and delivery. Hands-on experience in approving and controlling metallurgy during melting, pouring in cast iron, ductile iron, and steel making process. Adequate experience in testing of chemical, mechanical and metallurgical properties and interaction with third-party testing laboratories. Adequate experience in PPAP documents as per customer requirements.
