There was a time, almost five years ago, when my website existed as an
online archive for this email newsletter. In the intervening years, my
priorities have flipped. Now, this email newsletter is of secondary
importance to the site, www.metsminorleagueblog.com, which I update
multiple times daily. Please visit.
Thursday, I broke down the Mets fine trade to acquire JJ Putz. You can read it here. On the heels of a very reasonable contract for Francisco Rodriguez, the Mets bullpen is markedly better than it was on Monday. It has been a productive week's work in Las Vegas for Omar Minaya and his staff.
And they're not done yet. There's a rule five draft on Thursday.
