Hey Mets fans and prospect hounds,
I'm in Phoenix, AZ this week checking out some Arizona Fall League baseball. The desert weather is beautiful (it hit 91 Tuesday), and the baseball is very good by minor league standards.
One of the pleasant surprises of the 2009 Mets minor league season was SS Ruben Tejada who hit .289/.351/.381 as a 19-year old for AA Binghamton. Impressively, since July, he's made a major mechanical adjustment in his swing, removing his leg kick. I analyze the change in video here.
Also, the Mets sent RHP Josh Stinson out to the desert. I've got video of him up as well here.
Before the week is up, I will gather more footage of top prospects Ike Davis, Jenrry Mejia, Scott Moviel and Reese Havens.
