I'd like to post this sooner than later, but I've got a bit more to
study before being blogworthy...
If someone is willing and able to package this info, please go ahead.
I'm also wondering if people with unconference experience might assist
me in preparing Tuesday evening's meeting. Advisors, group scribes,
leaders or any role would be appreciated. Thanks.

Metro Hall Meetings
Next Metro Hall Meeting on GTA Plan: 5:45pm, Tue Oct 14, room 303
What do you want to know about the Regional Transportation Plan,
a.k.a. “The Big Move”?
Join a series of open meetings to explore the proposed transport plan
for the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. In parallel to official
public consultation meetings being held across the region by the
provincial planning agency Metrolinx, these smaller and less formal
Metro Hall Meetings are scheduled for every Tuesday in October and
November.
Sponsored by transit reporter Ed Drass, anyone interested in GTA
transport is invited to study and discuss the Metrolinx plan and its
component parts. Some sessions will also deal with financing the
Regional Transportation Plan (RTP), including how to pay for longer
term transportation infrastructure projects.
The next meeting will be held Tuesday Oct. 14 in room 303 of Metro
Hall, 55 John St. at King, about three blocks from Union Station.*
Since October 14 is election day, the meeting will start early at
5:45 pm. Anyone may attend and help devise a series of key questions
about the RTP. The process will borrow consultation methods used at
Metronauts “unconferences”. See:
http://metronauts.ca/about/
The top questions developed Tuesday will be submitted to Metrolinx
for their response at future Metro Hall meetings. Key topics will also
form the basis of subsequent sessions.
Metrolinx is seeking public input on the RTP via the web and at
public meetings from Durham to Hamilton.
