Program What course do I need to be Certified? by Rex Nelson
- On Monday, September 14th, the Conference Committee on Lay
Servant Ministries (CCLSM) decided on a policy set to better steward the
Gifts of Lay Servants by broadening course and topic availability.

Servant A Long and Winding Road by Rev. Greg Schrimpf
- I was one of the original Certified Lay Servants who began to
serve the
Campbellsport: First UMC congregation. God kept calling me to do more.
Eventually, I gave in, applied for candidacy, went to Licensing School,
and became available for pastoral ministry.

Ministry Nursing Home Lay Ministry by Dave and Char Becker
- Dave and I are Lay Servants at New Hope United Methodist Church
in Greenbush, WI. Along with Karen Bruinooge, our musician, we visit two
nursing homes each month and provide church services with scripture
readings, prayer and concerns
time, a sermon, and hymn singing.
