Hi all,

Dave McKinnon brought this group to my attention. Dave knows that I'm
one of those sorts that's not content just to hack away at code. I'm
always interested in bringing a higher level of professionalism to my
work. And this group sounds like it have like minded folks.

At any rate, I'm a software developer for Compuware. I've worked in
the software development field for just about 20 years. I've done
development with Paradox (a PC database app), Visual BASIC, C++ (lots
of that) and a few other odds and ends as work called for them.

One of the reasons I was sort of on the fence about joining this
particular group is the fact that I've not got a lot of spare time
right now. So if you never see me at any of the meetings--well, I'll
be there in spirit anyway.

I hope that we can all grow as developers via the exchange of ideas
and information.
