Responsibilities: The Sr. Programmer/Analyst position requires hands-
on experience in web application software development of large-scale
business critical projects.
The candidate should have experience building web applications in an
object oriented development environment.
Knowledge of common data structures and structured program design
principles is required.
The candidate should also have experience in relational database
theory, including database design, E/R diagrams and SQL.
The candidate should possess the following technical skills: Java,
JDBC, HTML, and Java Server Pages.
Experience in the use of debugging tools, unit-testing procedures and
iterative design processes is required.
The candidate should also have experience translating requirements
into application design.
A strong background in distributed component architecture and software
engineering is preferred.
Good analytical as well as communication skills will be necessary.
Employee will be responsible for:
· Development and testing of Java/J2EE application.
· Adhering to the guidelines of system development methodology.
· Communication with Business Units and other development teams
within
· Writing status reports to provide management details of projects
being worked on.
· Communication with Third Party vendors.
Qualifications: · 4-6+ years in development environment with knowledge
of both traditional and web technologies.
· Ability to communicate both verbally and non-verbally as well as
both technically and non-technically.
· Experience in gathering requirements for J2EE architectures, modem
Portal development frameworks, and B2C, B2E.
· Required proficiency in UML Modeling techniques, Object Oriented
concepts, and Development Methodologies.
· Full systems life cycle development experience, including
development.
· Proficient in capturing customer requirements into use cases and
UML.
· Data Modeling experience a plus!
· Technical understanding of modern J2EE platforms and design
techniques including re-factoring.
· Prior experience in developer and testing roles in systems
projects.
· Experience in designing and facilitating large scale projects.
