Dear all,

We are pleased to announce our upcoming online course “DNA Methylation in Ecology and Evolution”, taking place on 20–24 April 2026.

This course introduces cutting-edge methods for obtaining and analysing DNA methylation data genome-wide, including bisulfite sequencing (BS-seq, EM-seq) with Illumina and long-read technologies like Oxford Nanopore and PacBio. Participants will learn to process high-throughput methylation data and perform statistical analyses to identify differentially methylated sites and regions, with a focus on ecological and evolutionary applications.

The format includes daily lectures followed by hands-on practical sessions to build skills through demonstration and individual exercises.

Schedule: 5 days, online
Course website: https://www.physalia-courses.org/courses-workshops/dnamethylation/

This course is designed for researchers working with DNA methylation data, especially from non-model organisms with draft reference genomes.

Best regards,

Carlo
