Rail Trail Supporters,

I wanted to let this group know that a group of us has been working on a non-profit youth-oriented bike shop for our area that is now being taken up by the Merrimack Valley YMCA as a social venture under the leadership of the director of the Methuen Branch Anne Whelan.  It is basically in the model of Bikes-not-Bombs in Boston (and many others around the world)

We will be at the Earthday event on the Lawrence Common this Saturday (see below) and other events this Spring.  We are doing light repairs and accepting donation of bikes, trikes, scooters, boards, and anything that is "human powered".   We are still looking for space to use part time (an evening or two and Saturday) to actually open this year.  Come by and see us Saturday and bring your bikes!

John
