Earth Day April 27 - Methuen Rail Trail Tire Cleanup

In conjunction with Groundwork Lawrence....we are cleaning up tires froim the hillside above the rail trail on the south end bordering Lawrence. 

The tires will be brought down from the hillside and then processed for collection by the tire company.

Clean up is 8:00 am to 1:00pm  

volunteer for as many hours as you can spare.

Holler if you can join us.

I'll be there. Are we meeting at the Laidlaw lot or should we get closer and park at the back end of the Granite St apts? Is there any mention of 'snacks' after with Groundwork Lawrence? I'll be bringin water as usual, just want to know what to plan for.

I am co-leader of Methuen Girl Scout Daisy Troop 85210. We may not be able to participate on April 27th but would like to help with other cleanups along our beautiful rail trail. Our girls are 1st graders.

Breakfast and lunch, as well as t-shirts if you want them, are provided by Groundwork if you meet on the Lawrence Common before/after the clean-up.  Groundwork also gets a small amount of additional support from the event sponsor, Comcast, for each registered participant - so it's nice to register.  Groundwork does a lot of great work including parks and the Spicket River Greenway in Lawrence, so the money goes to a good cause.  Link is below for information:
