Verify email link expired - how to recreate token and send new email?

Hi,

If a user doesn't verify his email within a certain time the verification token will expire and the user won't be able to verify the email or create a new account as the email address is already being used.

How can I resend a new verification link to the user once he clicks on the expired verification link?
