Hi I'm looking for a team to help me out with a project in Meteor.
We're recently funded and ready to build. Preferably a CTO and 1 dev to start out with.
Interested ppl let me know and reach out to discuss. Thanks Roderick de Rode

Does someone from MDG monitor this group? Looks like we're starting to attract spam.

Yeah!

However this post is not a spam. Since there is no official way to post jobs, we can't stop messages like this.

Also there are no official job listing, so we can't ask to go somewhere.

We should encourage posts like this, but this mailing list is not the place for that.

How about MDG working on a some kind of a job board and list that on the home page?

There's WeWorkMeteor.com, and meteor-talk would be a much better place for job posts than meteor-core.

Hi Rode, I've been working in a huge Meteor project for the last 6 months with another dev, if you are interested, drop me an email.

In lieu of some other highly visible place to post jobs, perhaps having 1 shared job thread a month here would be beneficial to everyone?  At Respondly we're definitely interested in hiring folks who follow Meteor internals (this group), and perhaps people with interest in this group would like to hear about jobs where a deep interest in and understanding of Meteor is highly valued?    I expect a lot of people deep in Meteor don't follow Meteor-talk anymore as the volume is too high, but Meteor-core is spot on volume wise.

When we've posted https://respond.ly/jobs in meteor-talk in the past, we had some beginner/intermediate interest, but no senior engineers reach out.

Tim.

Tim,

I don't know much about the market in the US (assuming your company is based in the US), but in Europe most senior engineers already work at a company or they are freelancers with more than enough work already and they're probably not even looking for new jobs.
On the other hand I'm pretty sure you might find quite some companies interested in outsourced development instead. I wouldn't bet on the fact that senior engineers aren't reading meteor-talk anymore :)

Cheers,

Valerio Santinelli
