The next Metanomics session will be brought to you by Metaversed today, Monday November 12th at 11am SLT, and hosted by Professor Robert Bloomfield of the Johnson School at Cornell University. Our guest will be David Karsbøl, Market Strategist for Denmark's Saxo Bank.

Karsbøl is a macroeconomics expert, closely following trends in the real-world economy and works with fundamental market research. At the University of Copenhagen he earned his M.Sci. in Economics where he wrote his thesis was the pricing of gold. His expertise in pricing precious metals will be applied here to virtual currencies, and he'll be able to give us all new ways of thinking about something many take for granted: the Linden Dollar.

Also from Saxo Bank we will be joined by Jillian Sayuri Falconi. As the resident Innovation Consultant, she is responsible for discovering new ideas and new ways of thinking about business. It's not hard to see how her input will prove extremely valuable for this discussion.

They will be joined by IntLibber Brautigan, CEO of Ancapistan Capital Exchange (ACE), Arbitrage Wise, Chairman of SLCapEx, and Shaun Altman, CEO of the first publicly traded firm in Second Life, who is also launching a new exchange. They will bring their experience in virtual economies to the table and give us an idea of what, from their perspective, has been happening with trade in the virtual world.

As usual the excellent people from SLCN.tv will be at Metaversed Island recording the event and broadcasting the video live across the grid. If you'd like to join us there please arrive early as it completely fills with avatars well ahead of time.

Notes: The Colonia Nova sim  is a low lag sim, modeled after Cologne, Germany under Roman rule, about 53 BCE.  The Amphitheatre seats up to 80 avis.  Colonia Nova is one of the sims governed by the CDS, Confederation of Democratic Sims, the oldest functioning democracy in SL.  Members of the CDS include many lawyers, bankers and experienced SL trendsetters who participate in the discussons following Metanomics presentations in a relaxed atmosphere.
