Ultimately, it's a story. At some point one just has to concede that Reality cannot be defined -- by whatever name we give it -- and all attempts to explain it in words are futile. So while we can conceive a story about it -- which obviously we must do to talk about it -- no story whatsoever, whether scientific, philosophical, or mythological, can be absolutely true. Or in other words, all stories about Reality are relatively true at best, depending upon whatever paradigm one happens to believe from any given individual perspective or collective ethos -- at which point we accept the evidence that supports the belief, and disregard all the rest. Once Realization happens, we can then go about our story-making to our heart's content, perhaps in the hope that it may point toward Reality, recognizing that when we're finished with it, we can toss it in the trash bin with all the others.

Again, they are all stories ... As for 'facts,' all that matters to me is does the story point to the reality that there is only Consciousness experiencing none other than itself, here and now, and that I am That ... which really is the only fact one needs. :)

Well for now, my beliefs about mind resonate with Bernardo's theories, which he has clearly articulated, hence how I ended up in this forum looking for like-minded alters to interact with. But it could change, who knows? I suppose I can come up with variations on the theme, using different semantics, metaphors, analogies, etc, if feeling moved to do so, but I'm not sure it would add much to the essential ideas. In any case, most everything I write here, or in poetry, is about my own individual reconciliation with the divine, serving as a kind of journal. How it may be interpreted, or may or may not resonate, or convince, is quite secondary. Unlike Bernardo, who has taken on the serious task of changing the prevailing scientific paradigm, deconstructing it and challenging its 'facts' in a way that must convince a lot of very dogmatic and stubborn minds -- which requires a very keen and specialized intellect. I'm more inclined to let Grace do it ;-)

I'm quite sure that you're smart enough to see that the article is very much aligned with conventional materialist thinking, and still implies that life creates consciousness, as opposed to the view that Consciousness conceives life, the universe and everything else it experiences -- which again is the only 'fact' that is important to me.
