the pathetic state of western culture

I was surfing the net when I found this video titled philosophy history  - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39Em6t0G7Fc - 

Now, while the video is just -jokes-, it gives up a good glimpse of the state of society, and how people see the world.

in the video, Plato and Kant were presented as if they were some stupid guys, saying that the world isn't real and so on.

what do you guys think?

I guess I would like to find other forums like this, we need to change various things.

I wouldn't confuse Western culture with isolated Ivory Tower academics.

That said the betrayal of academia in service to fundamentalist atheism rather than the public good is pathetic.

I see where you come from, but when I said western culture, I meant how the public ( especially teens/young people- people like me ), and not the whole culture, because the latter statement is absurd, generalizing is absurd.
