Metaphlan gene markers annotations

Hello,

I am wondered whether I can download the sequence database of gene markers with functional annotations. What I found is the mpa file version 17 with taxonomic informations.

Hi Bach,

 unfortunately we do not have functional annotations for the MetaPhlAn 1.x markers. For the markers of MetaPhlAn2 (alpha version available here https://bitbucket.org/biobakery/metaphlan2), instead, we are using the standard NCBI gene IDs so you should be able to find a functional mapping available somewhere in NCBI...

Many thanks for your reply, I am interested in a few COGs of gene
markers conserved among over 95% of bacterial genomes, I was looking
for MetaRef to select special COGs. It seems more complicated then I
thought. In addition IMG database holding COG browser tool is
temporarily unavailable.
