About Metaphile

Hi all, I was looking for an Actionscript library to write id3
metadata and i found this project...

anyway I see that the aren't many information about it... is Metaphile
"usable"?? It seems it isn't, some methods such
"writeBody" (ID3Writer.as) are empty... is this project alive? Has
someone used Metaphile to write id3 tags?

Hi Dave,

No one has used Metaphile to write metadata. It was intended to do both reading and writing, and as you can see some of the code was headed in this direction but is incomplete. It's not a very active project, but I wouldn't say it's dead either. It is pretty decent at reading metadata as is and I'll probably have reason to revisit the code and improve it in the next 3-4 months. If you want to contribute before then though definitely let me know.

In order to read ID3 metadata Actionscript 3 already provides API's
that do the job well, so my only need is to write ID3 data

I'm reading id3.org's documentation... if I will able to do something
concrete I will tell you ;-)
