We have only a few IPs left in our network.
Eg : 192.168.1.20 , 192.168.1.41,192.168.1.101, 192.168.1.201

These are the only free IPs, can we define these 5 IPs only to use by MetalLB?

Thanks
Sachith

Hi there,

Yes, you can configure individual addresses in MetalLB address pools. You have examples in the docs: https://metallb.universe.tf/configuration/

Johannes

Hi Johannes

Yes, I had seen https://raw.githubusercontent.com/google/metallb/v0.9.3/manifests/example-config.yaml, but it does not describe how to add individual IPs.
Could you please provide an example?

Thanks
Sachith

You can specify individual IPs in an address pool by using /32 in the CIDR. Example: 1.1.1.1/32
There is an explicit note about this in the link I referred you to, but I think there is a phrasing problem there.
