Internet Draft: Metalink Download Description Format

An updated Internet Draft describing the Metalink format has been
submitted to
the IETF.
We're looking for review and public comments.
Currently one issue remains, of including file signatures (other than
PGP) in Metalinks.

Fedora 11 & yum!

Fedora 11 is out! You can download it with Metalinks, kindly provided
by MirrorManager.
Also yum, which keeps Fedora installs updated, uses Metalink.

New Metalink clients: mulk, urmpi

Mulk is a multi-connection command line tool for downloading Internet
sites with image filtering and Metalink support. Similar to wget and
cURL, but it manages up to 50 simultaneous and parallel links. Main
features are: HTML code parsing, recursive fetching, Metalink
retrieving, segmented download and image filtering by width and
height.

Urpmi is a package manager app for Linux.
