Greeting Metal3 community.

Now that 2025 is almost here I would like to share a few public service announcements related to the project.

1. Based on the issue https://github.com/metal3-io/baremetal-operator/issues/2085 a community meeting decision (2024 December 4.) was made to move the ironic-client project into the ironic-image repository and archive

the ironic-client repository https://github.com/metal3-io/ironic-client/issues/30. Additionally, as part of the resolution of BMO issue 2085 our Keepalived image source will be moved to the utility-images repository from BMO.

2. The last community meeting of 2024 will be held on the 18th of December according to the decision made on the 2024 December 4th community meeting.

3. The 2025 Metal3 Team Meetup poll is now open https://doodle.com/meeting/participate/id/avRZL4na and the voting will be concluded on the community meeting of 2025 January 29th.

4. Metal3 incubation proposal is now moved from the queue to "Ready for Assignment" stage and now the proposal is waiting for the official "kick-off" of the due diligence process

5. Ironic Standalone Operator (IrSO) is moving towards an official MVP release estimated for February, if you are looking for improvements related to Ironic deployment and configuration you can follow the progress of the IrSO MVP here: https://github.com/metal3-io/ironic-standalone-operator/milestone/1
