Hi,

I am relatively new to Ironic and Metal3 but I'm running out of ideas to troubleshoot the dev env setup on my ProLiant BL460c Gen8.

I followed the metal3 try-it and the blog instructions but unfortunately I started with CS8 only to realize later I should have installed CS9 instead (perhaps updating the blog would help avoid that). Because of that I had to downgrade to python 3.6 and ansible 4.1 but the install went ok until I tried to create the target cluster (1 control plane + 1 worker node).

I'm seeing 2 issues (see logs + baremetalhosts + metal3machines attached):
- the control plane node gets stuck in "SettingProviderIDOnNodeFailed" status and the cluster API server fails to start
- the worker node is stuck in "WaitingForBootstrapReady" state (couldnt find the reason in the logs)

As far as I understand it should be possible to log into either of these nodes with either "virsh connect" or directly "ssh" but I couldnt find what's the password that's generated (not talking about the BMC password here). For example I was planning to log into the worker VM (mode-1) ramdisk to see why it doesnt boot from the CS9 image.

Your suggestions would be welcome - apologies for asking noob questions.

Best regards
Laurent
