could not find function "extract_taxonomy"

Hi,

I loaded the "metacoder" package to perform heat tree representing of root fungal community structure based on NGS data.

When I ran the extract_taxonomy function I get the error message : "Could not find function "extract_taxonomy".

I had a look on the metacoder description from the package I installed and the extract_taxonomy function is not in the description.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem is?

Hello Celine,

That function was replaced by `parse_tax_data`, which works in a similar way. If you need to lookup data from databases use `lookup_tax_data` and if you need to use complex string inputs (e.g. fasta headers), you can use 'extract_tax_data'. Check you the help pages for those functions and let me know if you have questions.
