Happy Monday!
I’m excited to share a plan for our weekly meetings and a few important updates as we move forward.
Through November, we will meet once a week for 2 hours with the following agenda:
This structure will keep us focused, engaged, and aligned as we move through our objectives. People who are already familiar with the initiative can arrive 30 minutes in for the working session, whereas newer people can arrive at the top of the meeting or 15 minutes in.
The meetings will be 9-11a PDT / Noon-2p EDT on Thursdays (except Friday on the week of Thanksgiving). RSVP once, get access to all sessions: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZAvduqqqDojH9JFaoJwUqB2nH5368BsamJ2
The next meeting will be a working session focused on drafting an Open Letter to the Next President about the critical need for decentralizing information—an initiative that could become the most enduring legacy of the next administration. While trusting the government to build the Meta-Layer directly may be unwise, there is an opportunity for it to play a pivotal role by providing funding and establishing a regulatory environment that supports innovation and ensures a decentralized, transparent information ecosystem.
This session will explore collaborative pathways for government involvement—balancing independent community efforts with strategic policy frameworks that could align national interests with Web4 principles. The discussion will address the role of decentralized technologies in combating misinformation and fostering digital sovereignty in ways that advance democratic engagement.
We look forward to your input on how to frame this letter effectively to make decentralization a cornerstone of the next president’s legacy.
We are actively inviting participants to join the organizing team! Your involvement will help shape our initiatives, so if you're interested, please reach out.
Looking forward to seeing everyone at the next session and continuing to build together.
Best,
