What Are We Building?

The Meta-Layer is an application substrate for a new meta-environment, a layer of collaboration, transparency, and interaction that sits above today’s web. This project aims to enable:

• Overlay Applications that empower participants with new tools and functionalities across all web content.
  
• Smart Tags that provide contextual, interactive annotations, enriching the web with meaningful insights.
  
• Meta-Communities that bring people together across platforms, fostering collaboration beyond traditional silos.
  

This is more than just a technical infrastructure—it’s a bold vision to create a safer, more collaborative, and user-empowered web where privacy, data sovereignty, and agency are prioritized.
