The left historians have repeatedly tried to portray the indigenous civilization and rich heritage of India as imported. The left history has constantly reinforced the idea of Hindus as a passive entity, without any outward mobility to the world, or without an extrovert worldview as such. Now the politics of nomenclature around the word 'Hindu' is undoubtedly a new low in left historiography, which is trying very hard to survive in a world which otherwise rejects their views spontaneously due to the changing notions of power.
